Research Projects

Prof. Ge’s research covers many aspects of ophthalmology and optometry, ranging from basic to clinical fields. It includes the following: 
(1) Mechanism of experimental myopia in rhesus monkeys
(2) Gene screen and function in familial primary open angle glaucoma
(3) Stem cell, iPS and tissue engineering in ophthalmology
(5) Modulation of scar formation after anti-glaucoma surgery
(6) New alternatives in the treatment of glaucoma, special interest in Phaco, Shunt, Laser therapy

Selected recent publications

Prof. Ge has published over 330 academic papers, including over 140 papers in international peer-review (SCI) journals, including Stem Cells, Am. J. Pathol., IOVS, Int. J. Cancer., Ophthalmology, Plos One, Exp. Eye Res.,Mol. Vis, Tissue Eng , et al, on topics such as the role of amyloid beta in glaucoma, iPS induced into retina neurons and so on. 
Prof.Ge is the chief editor of text book Ophthalmology for medical students published by People's Medical Publishing House
